Americans consume over $12 billion worth of bottled water each year and over 80% of those bottles are never recycled. They overcrowd landfills and are the most commonly sighted manmade objects in the ocean. Plastic bottles aren’t too friendly on the wallet, either: American consumers are paying billions of dollars for essentially the same water that pours out of their faucets. Add to the mix harmful chemicals found in single-use bottles, the growing amount of energy used to produce and transport them—the equivalent of 50 million barrels of oil a year! Consider the 2.5 million tons of CO2 released into the atmosphere from the manufacturing process, and it’s quickly apparent: Bottled water is fast making the planet anything but lusty and desirable to all who call it home!

EarthLust is a small company with a big mission: to create planet-friendly, stainless steel bottles so durable, convenient, and chic that consumers will never want to pick up another disposable water bottle again!
